2018-09-09Guide Dog Motorcycle Ride -

The 30th annual Guide Dog Ride is an all-brand motorcycle ride in support of Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind. Entry fee is $25 per rider in advance, by signing up online. On-site registration will be $30 per rider, and will take place on Sunday, September 9, 2018 between 9:00am and 10:00am. Once you are signed up on September 9, depart on the 180-kms route through Eastern Ontario and then join us for the post-ride BBQ and prizes. This is a charity ride, proudly sponsored by CMC 011 Ottawa: Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers, with 100% of proceeds directed towards the training of guide dogs and assistance dogs.

2018-10-13Toledo (Horse) Ride-A-Thon -

The 9th Annual Toledo Ride-A-Thon will take place on Saturday, October 13, 2018. We are excited to announce that Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind is the charity of choice for this event for the second consecutive year. People will come with their horses and trailers, tack up and ride back through the concession roads and sugar bushes. The $50 registration fee includes a meal that will knock your boots off. The highest dollar amount in pledges wins a prize. The day begins with registration at 10 a.m. The registration site is located just west of Toledo, Ontario, off of County Road 8, but signs will be posted leading to the area. Riders will depart between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., after which participants will set out on a 25-kilometre route, which will have visible signage and road crossing guards to help riders navigate safely. Along the way, pit stops for cookies and refreshments will also be available. Those who wish to take part can choose to either collect pledges (minimum of $50) or pay a registration fee of $50.
